I have been working with a Medical Alert Dog for a while now. Today she took her first full trip to Wal Mart. She did so well, Im soo proud of her!
It wasnt easy but she managed to ignore all the squealing kids, the adults ohhing and ahhhing over her. She even let one person pet her. Yea yea I know its against the rules but when the manager of Wal Mart is trying to throw out your Medical Alert Dog you start bending the rules to disprove the myths in their head.
We actually went to Wal Mart twice today. Had to go back because we forgot something of course. The first trip went by without a hitch, no one said anything, no one even noticed. It was on the second trip that we ran into the hitch. We were actually at the check out line when two employees aproached me, my son, and the dog.
I was actually shocked because by the end of the conversation and our little "show and tell" the employee that called me out actually admited she knew someone close to her that had a seeing eye dog that she helps care for. And I really thought my dogs "Medical Alert Dog" tag and her intro cards would be enough to pass any one off. Not these ladies, (yes she brought back up), I still had to show them that my dog was people friendly and had training. Um, Wal Mart, thats ILLEGEAL.
Anyhoo, I started this whole blog to brag about how good my girl did and I ended up griping about the idiots at walmart. I will admit the look on their face was priceless when I informed them she was a Medical Alert Dog. I thought she was going to choke. LOL.
And the adventure continues......

JOSHUA FOUND
After four long years of trying I finally found the Joshua I was looking for!
I am so happy to finally have this long journey come to an end. Now I can put my friends mind at ease and Joshua can now get to know his father and brothers.
There was a lot of unexpected finds in my search, starting with this search coming to an end made my frind a GrandPa!
I am looking forward to a long time of getting to know Joshua and his family.

Looking for a Joshua
I have been trying to help a dear friend find a son that he has never met. We have some few details and I have been able to dig for a few more.
What we know is that he was born June 1985 and his name is Joshua Gilbert Limasa and he was most likely born in California.
We are not 100% sure on the last name, we dont know if the birth mother hyphnated or if she only used one name.
At this point we are not even sure if my friend is even listed as the birth father!
My goal here is to find this Joshua and unite him with his father and three siblings and help end their long search for him.
